Mathematics IGCSE 0580/0581 (shear): can somebody plz help?

URGENT!!!!!!!! AOA can someone please explain the answer for this question as soon as possible cause I am really frustrated.. ===>

question 2a. iv) I seriously don't understand how y could be the invarient.....isn't it supposed to be the x-axis which is the invarient?? And then again question number 2b) ii again related to shear??

see i just looked at the figure and came to know Y axis is the invariant line.
You can do it too! just look at the side which remains unchanged it is parallel to Y axis so Y is the invariant line.
What i mean by unchange is that both lines of U and X parallel to Y axis are of same size and direction!
Hope that helps. U can ask Qs if u're still not sure abt it
