hey guys

can you help me with sequences.
:-S
i haven't undestand anythng :shock:

The n th term of a sequence,s, is n^3 +2.
the first four terms are 3,10,29 and 66.
(i) Find the fifth term of S.
(ii) the first four terms of another sequence,T, are 4,12,32 and 70.

By comparing S and T, write down
(a) the fifth term of T

(b) an expression, in terms of n, for the ]n[/color] th term of T :ugeek:

i dnt know if its correct but have a look:

s= n^3+2
fifth term (n = 5 )--> s = 5 ^ 3 + 2
s=127 (in terms of S) weird

T = 412,32,70
if u put the two sequence below each other and comparing them u'll notice
s = (3)"+1" , (10)"+2" , (29)"+3" , (66)"+4"
t = (4) , 12 , 32 , 70

so if u try to make an equation from the s equation u'll get something like this:
t = (n^3) + (n + 2 )
lets try it:
first term (n = 1); t = (1^3) + (1 + 2) = 4
second term (n = 2); t = (2^3) + (2 + 2) = 12
try for the rest u'll see it works!!!
