In Q1, how do we obtain the value of 0.674 for 'z' ?

900/225 =0.25
that means we have to find fi of 0.75......i.e 1002-u/8 = fi of 0.75

for the value of fi of 0.75 refer to the bottom of the ditribution table....fi of 0.75 = 0.674 !

and in Q4, how do we solve parts (ii) and (iii)??

sory for late reply.....
4 ii )....see we have 10 people now consider 6 taleest as one group and rest 4 as one group....so possibility of 6 is 6!
now we have 4 people left.....as we are sonsidering 6 people as one group and the rest 4 as individuals....so it becomes
a group of 5....so 6! into 5 !......
iii) see we have a total of 8 people....possibility of people refusing is 3!.....rest of the people is 4!.....the refusing people can be
either side so 4! into 3! into 2 ........
