Estimate the value, correct to one significant figure of 4.03 square X 29.88 divided by square root of 150.

That would come as 4x30/12.

why do i have to change 150 to 144???? well according to the question i am supposed to change 150 to 200 that is 1 signifacant figure. am i not?????

Yeah, but in opening the square root, 200 won't be easy. We look for the nearest number which is 144.
