Hey Guyz... Please solve these doubts for me.......!! Thnx in advance...
1) First of all tell me how to calculate discount price and marked price... is there any diff. b/w the two and tell the formula as well...

2) And next is a question from D03/p1: Its question 20 b part ii.. In this question tell me why arent we squaring the ratio of heights coz height in not same so we shud square it and answer shud be 2... But here its given 6... Please do explain...

3..) If two sides are similar of a triange, then is the 3rd side also similar?? Reference J05 p1/ q 21 b...
Thnnku...

HCF is highest common factor....it means that the highest number which can divide the no.s given
HCM is highest common multiple....it means that the multiple which is highest b/t given no.s (i hope u know wat is a multiple
LCM is least common multiple...it means the multiple which is lowest b/t given no.s

hope i helped :D

Thnks for the abcde... That was a great explanation... I always thought that If height is same then we wont square it but as u said that even if base is same so area wont be squared...!! Thats correct na ?

Yes, if any two corresponding lengths are equal, you do not need to 'square the lengths'. :)

@ usman.. this is how u do it!!!

= Vol of X : Vol of C
= 3^3 : 5^3 ( u cube it coz its the volume.. u square it coz if its the area)

= 27 : 125

therefore.. Vol of X : Vol of Y
= 27 : 125-27
= 27 : 98

ok for example for LCM
v take no.s of 12 n 57

3|12,54
3|4,18
3|4,6
2|2,3
3|2,1
2|1,1

so LCM of 12 n 54 is 3x3x2x3x2=108

ok for HCF
take no.s of 4 n 8
n list factors of both
4=1x2x4
8=1x2x4x8
so HCF of 4 n 8 is 4....

as far as HCM is concerned i ve got no idea how to calculate it :oops:

hope i cleard the prob now :D

That is what i am asking dude... Why do u subtract 27??????????
