YEPplz plz tell me is this correct:
I wrote for the TRIGONOMETRY question a)I and b) I and N
dat ws my ansCan I also know the answers to the last whole page. The matrix question.
I think (a) 3.5
(b) +3 or -3
(c) 5
wen u square +3, u get 9. wen u square -3, u also get 9. so square root of 9 is 3 or -3can u plz tell me me how is b) +3 and -3???
the invariant line is da x-axisCorrect
Yes, the question has 3 marks. Type (which is shear), invariant (which is Y) and scale (which is 2), you a mark on each whether they're all correct or not
PFF NO ITS Y :-Dthe invariant line is da x-axis
points move parallel to the invariant line, so it's da x-axis.PFF NO ITS Y :-D
help me in this questionI got the same answers as you for b) and c) however, I'm unsure about a), do u remember what the question was??
"Invariant" means doesn't change or permanent.. so if the shear is parallel to the x-axis the values change so its Y invariant, parallel to axis and invariant axis are the opposite thingspoints move parallel to the invariant line, so it's da x-axis.
thank u soo much...inshalla u will get A* in all the subjects...the thing about the question is that I didn't realize that I need to measure..thank u again..For this all u need to do is measure 1 cm on the x-axis using a ruler and see how much that 1 cm represents according to the scale used for the x-axis. Then u see how much 1 cm with your ruler represents according to scale used for x-axis.
1 cm on x-axis= 0.5 minutes
1cm on y-axis=5 frequency density
Now multiply both to get 2.5! This method is similar to measuring area of a rectangle: length x breadth since u need to get how much 1 cm^2 represents!
u hv to find the x values where the line x+1/x does not intersect the graph. de ans r 1, 0 and -1thank u soo much...inshalla u will get A* in all the subjects...the thing about the question is that I didn't realize that I need to measure..thank u again..
one more question really I can't understand is in 2010 m/j 43 q6 part c only....plz try ur best becauz this question I struggled on it with no us!
graph u mean?u hv to find the x values where the line x+1/x does not intersect the graph. de ans r 1, 0 and -1
sry, i mean da values for k r da y values which wen drawn thru, does nt intersect the graph of x+1/x.which
graph u mean?
thank u a bunch....other question about graphs too....sry, i mean da values for k r da y values which wen drawn thru, does nt intersect the graph of x+1/x.
eg: wen u draw da line of y=1, it does not intersect the curve, ryt? so 1 is one of the values of k.
no this is another question I wrote which year...the answer is y=kx smthnglike that...but y u open this paper and c it...thanksur wel cum! da ans is y=x???
didnt get u!!no this is another question I wrote which year...the answer is y=kx smthnglike that...but y u open this paper and c it...thanks
I mean the question in the year 2009 m/j q5 part (e) I didn't understand?didnt get u!!
yes thanks for replying but I've other question in 2009 m/j q5 part (e)Your welcome!
And thank you so much, I hope you get all A*s as well!
I guess your doubt got solved for that M/J 10 right?
dats wat i ws ytalkin abt. da line y=x passes thru da origin n does not intersect da graph of y=x/2 - 2/x.yes thanks for replying but I've other question in 2009 m/j q5 part (e)
r u sure? coz wen we did dis question, my teacher said da ans is y=xFor this, the ask u an equation for the line which passes through the origin(0,0), so u could only have 4 possible solutions(since it has to pass through origin) for this either y=0(which will be a horizantal line through), x=0(which will be a vertical line through 0), y=x, y=-x.
For y=x, y=-x, and y=o, these lines would interesect the graphs, thereby the answer is x=0
