Hi, I am appearing for O Levels in may 2012. I am taking 9 subjects ( English , Urdu , Maths , Add. Maths , Bio , Chem , Physics , Islamiat , Pak. Studies). I want to score at least 6-7 As preferably in main subjects like Maths, Add. Maths , Bio , Chem , Physics etc. What is the minimum daily time I will need to study in order to achieve my goal? My exams are just 6 months away.

Considering that you go to school, & you've finished almost 70% of your syllabus, you should contribute 4 hours a day. & make it 6-7 in the weekend. But then again, it's the quality not the quantity of your study hours. Best is to move forward with a study plan.
Good luck!

@aquarianqurl Thanks. I have completed the syllabus of all subjects from school except for Bio which is at 50-60% (as I skipped Bio classes in order to take Add. Maths) . I do not go to school nowadays since I have recently moved to Oman. I study at an average 3-4 hours daily. But since I don't go to school will I have to extend the time?

At this stage work with past papers, sciences and maths subjects are all about past paper practise.

Yes, I think you'll have to put in more time into your studies, because school gives you the advantage of keeping in track.
Solve past papers, start from 1991 on wards til 2011. Post your doubts on XPF. Stay in touch with your school friends so that you know where you stand.

correctly said..........put in ur time which you feel comfortable with......dont go on studying all the time......but keep a balance . :)
practise papers and revise concepts which you feel you are weak in........... give appropriate time to each subjects...........in those you fear alot then give more time to make it good and better......but dont leave out completely the remaining ones.......especially maths, physics, chem (sciences),you may forget ur previous concepts if you arent in touch with them......and as already said: it's the quality not the quantity of your study hours. You are better judge ov urself...see how much you need to do and put in that much effort.

Hope this helps you :)

The time doesnt matter in my opinion... Make a time table... for example for islamiat on monday u hav to complete section 1 whole... DO it on monday and dont drag it to future... whether it takes u 5 minutes to complete it or 10 hrs.. Do it on that day.....
Thats wat ali moeen nawazish said when he visited our school :p :D
