q.3. we have got the value of E by taking the avg. of all the readings of O (i.e. (36+90+114)/3 = 80) and for degree of freedom it is ( no of classes of data - 1 ) so here we have 3 different classes and den -1 (according to formula) hence it is 3-1=2 so degree of freedom is 2

q.1 (b) (ii) by measuring the average distance moved by the dye and den dividing it by average time taken
(iii) they have used respiratory inhibitor not transpiratory inhibitor so rate of water movement will be unchanged

q.1.c.(i) we counted the no of samples to get the value of n i.e. for each type of sugar there are 3 samples at each count like for count 1 there are 3 samples , for count 2 there are three samples and so on......and no of counts are four so n = 4x3 =12



when t value is < critical value den it is completely by chance.......:)
