Need help regarding Grade thresholds

For example the biology A* for option cx is 154 in the link attached but after adding up the maximum grades of cx components it results in 160 which is unreasonable, i'd only score a star for only losing 6 marks.
My question is: is this what really happen, am i supposed to lose 6 marks or 46 marks according to the 200 marks figure stated below in the link

what i think is that they use the weight age of diffrnt components. not sure how exactly it works but thresholds have been something surprising for me as well. How come u can score an A at 60% in any component as IGCSE chemistry thresholds tell..

along with studying also learn exam techniques. like there are some special ways to answer questions on different pprs. try learning and applying them as if u will not answer the question in the required way, you cannot score high. consult marking schmes n examiner reposrts n know wht actually examiner is looking for. also ask ur teachr 4 help where needed.
