O level Maths! query~

has any1 got idea which casio calculators are permitted for the syllabus D exam?? I currently hav FX-82ms but it isnt good and lacks many functions...

Long there have been discussions here on XPF about the calcs...

As far as I know (which is not much), Calculators with Graphic display arent allowed.
ES series have Graphic Dislpay.

I have fx-991 MS,
it have many functions, like finding derivatives, integrals, Matrices, Vectors, cubic equations and all, which are not generally in MS series..

Go for Fx-991 ES plus. No one asks for your calculator. The Invigilator just tells you to write its model no. on your question paper. All in all, what matters is your working, so examiners don't mind your calculator model much. Except for the graphical ones, that is.
So Fx-991 ES plus it is. For O-level, IGCSE & A-level.

u sure... m worried as about 2 years ago my frnds brother got marked -3 for using a non allowed calcuator and giving the name of a allowed 1 in da papers

he must have used the GRAPHICAL CALCULATOR In which one can solve the whole graphs!
Fx 991Es plus is 100% allowed.

I recommend using FX 991ES and another FX 350ms as a backup too because that's a pretty decent calculator as well.

I've used 85 es quite a number of times. 991 is allowed too. Graphic calculators are basically not allowed like the TI-83

it wont be of use but you can check calculators in singapore O Level

You can take any calculator in exams which is non-PROGRAMMABLE and non-GRAPHICAL
Furthermore invigilators just checks the model number and clear the memory of calculator nothing else .. and we have to write the model number on our question papers ..
The calculator which I would recommend is 570-ES because I myself used it... & 991-ES is also fine
