I am really not sure. But i guess that when this mixture is dissolved in water, only iron(III) oxide will form a red precipitate. The red precipitate can then be decanted off .

I know! Add sodium hydroxide...
Bauxite is amphoteric Al2O3, so it dissolves
Germanium oxide is a non metal oxide ( acidic ) , so it dissolves too
Iron oxide is basic, so nothing happens :)

germanium (IV)oxide is acidic while Germanium(II)oxide is neutral
likewise Co2 acidic and CO neutral!
