How do u ppl study for Chemistry? I just can't apply my concepts on the elements in the questions! It's lyk in one question...u have to keep 10 different concepts in mind before attempting a question! especially the MCQ's.
Alhamdulillah I don't have trouble with Bio n Phy coz u need to think of ONE concept for each question.
Just tell me...HOW do u study Chemistry?

Just keep doing past papers! The first time I did a past paper, I was horrified because I was getting nearly everything wrong. Do as many past papers as you can (I did every single one from 2002 up until 2011) and you will eventually get the hang of it. Once you've done them all, re-do them. This is what I did and I managed to get an A in AS chemistry.

Oh thank you! I am really going to try this as from today itself. I hope it works and i get an A in chemistry even if at the beginning i know am getting most of them wrong. But we should be positive.

Well the problem with chemistry is that it requires a deep study of particles to make sense out of all the reactions and stuff and such complex concepts are not in our syllabus while in physics, most of the things are complex too but we use physics everyday in our life most things are like obvious for us. I'll give you an example, when you study about gravity in physics, you grab the concept very easily because its obvious for you that gravity is a force that pulls you'll never have a doubt about that but in chemistry if you read a simple reaction in chemistry like the reaction of a halogen with an alkene to give halogenoalkane, you're confused, you want to know why and stuff. These were just simple example which might seem easy to you but the same goes everything we just use so much physics everyday, things are obvious for us.
The best to study for chemistry is to either go into a deep study of things that confuse you or just memorize all the possible reactions. Now what choice to go with is up to you.
P.S. Doing past paper repeatedly is the same as memorizing things.

This is what I do:
Summarize what is given in the book to your own words and learn from there instead. Concentrate on practical work and if there is any theory that you dont seem to understand, just do not gulp it down your throat, but use the internet and make use of videos and graphic material to clear the confusions. That way whatever you learn, you will know clearly what it is, and when you open up the past papers for solving, you would be able to apply logic to every theory.
