we know that photon excites an electron of the P700 pair of chlorophyll a molecules .....is that the same electron coming from the ETC .....or is it a totally different electron present on chlorophyll a molecule?

Photosystem is present in plants only, no? ETC has nothing to do with the electron. This electron comes from photosystem II. Light is absorbed by photosystem II and passed on to chlorophyll a. The chlorophyll molecule becomes energized and emits two electrons. These electron are raised to higher energy level and are picked up by electron acceptor. The electron acceptor passes the electrons along the chain of electron carrier to photosytem I.

Hope I answered your question and do inform me if I am wrong.. :D
