the helium atoms are brought together due to strong gravitational forces that are acting over these atoms. this energy is tranferred to heat energy for theatoms to fuse together since they both have a positively charged nucleus and therefore they strongly repel each other and to bring them togetjer high temperatures are required. when the heat and pressure is applied these repelling forces are overcome and the nuclei and dust particles are fused together to produce stars
