How we know that accelartion is constant?

for melting point W is 0 as there is no work done in expanding i.e e.g if it was boiling then work is done to push the atmosphere back so in that case W is used.... therefore only INTerNAL energy and Thermal energy should increase.... so Work done by the system is 0.

Oct 06/Q4
the onw with the larger Speed as K.E CANT be negative coz Velocities will become postive when v square it

May 10/q3/b
there is no resultant force as ball moving equally with equal magnitudes of forces so acc is constant

Oct 03/q3/bii
acc to equation: Q= U + W
so when there is no thermal energy supplied so Q is 0. and so equation becomes
U = - W
(and compression is work done AGAINST so W becomes -(-W))
U = W
Kinetic Energy is increasing as atoms are gaining speed,
K.E is directly proportional to Temp (keep this in mind)
SO, as k.e increases so does the Temperature.... :) ;) ;) :)

Dont have Oct 09 and Oct 10 with me sorry....

& if it was U = -W
then temp would decrease as U is decreased

nov10: Ek is the kinetic energy of a molecule whereas the Ek given is the combined energy of protons + deuteron ...kindly See part b) this point is clearly mentioned there...

nov09: you just have todraw the pattern around wire X ... and yeah circles with increasing radii from the center ...
