can any1 tell me if we can predict physical state of ALKENES?



PLEASE DONT POST ABOUT ALKANES CUZ I KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first four members are gases and the rest are liquids
I am not sure if there are solid alkenes but there might be as the number of carbon atoms increase

Yup....wht u said is right! The physical state depends on molecular mass!
From ethene to butene they're gases - liquids from pentene onwards!

@ M.S.Princess93 yes you can say that since alkenes have C=C double bond
as four alkanes the first four members(Methane,Ethane,Propane and Butane) are gases and then from pentane they are liquids

C1 -C5 GASES
C6 - C15 LIQUIDS
C16 - MORE SOLIDS
