Physics DOUBT here!

i have a doubt in physics paper 6, oct/nov 2008
question 1 part ''d''

they have the SAME material and the SAME mass...
then why the ''e2'' obtained is GREATER ?
shouldnt it be like the same ?
please help, and do explain the answer with detail

Well, It's greater because the questions gives you 2 keywords: 1- Same Material 2- Same mass
However, u didn't think in terms of density
Mass is simply the amount of matter inside the object. but they didn't give you the volume and in terms of density it should be greater, and i think what makes that the volume greater is the fact that they say "is too long to be
completely submerged in the water."
so it must be Greater in terms of Density NOT Mass
