In a bubble chamber we are using electric filed & magnetic filed.
We use the electric filed to accelerate or deflect the charged particle by providing a force on them equal to (F=p/Bq) and the direction of the deflection indicates the sing of the charg.
And magnetic filed is used to provides a centerpetal force for the charged partials to move in a circle and the direction of the curvature indicates the sing of the charge.
So you need to look at the direction of the of the electric filed and as well as the direction of the magnetic filed
Electric motors
Electric motors use the motor effect. A simple electric motor can be built using a coil of wire that is free to rotate between two opposite magnetic poles.
When an electric current flows through the coil, the coil experiences a force and moves. One side moves up and the other side moves down (based on Fleming’s left hand rule).
The direction of the current must be reversed every half turn, otherwise the coil comes to a halt again. This is achieved using a conducting ring split in two, called a split ring or ‘commutator’.

I think it is r=p/bq not f=p/bq... and it to know the deflection caused by a magnetic field.... for electric field we use F=EQ...
