does anyone know what marks we should get to get to get A* in physics??? heard that it changes every year!!! hope it would be 80!!! like last year because i have done silly mistakes in the atp paper. actually i could not concentrate well because my bus had caught fire that morning and i was stressed throughout the exams>>> not only this but during the paper 2 my bus had broken down in the middle of a sugar cane field and now i think during the mcq exams my bus will blast!!!!1:mad:

According to what I have heard, it actually depends on the general performance of students. A graph is plotted with all the students' marks and if the peak value is at a lower mark (say the peak value is at 50 marks), this means that most students (average) have scored this mark. Therefore the threshold for an A* is lowered. Conversely, if the peak value is at a higher mark (say it is as 75 marks), the threshold is made higher so that fewer candidates get an A*.

AFTER 2010 it has changed to 80% to get an A!
No dude, everyone else here is right, that is just for general knowledge, it not only changes every year, in fact it changes every session. It depends on how well the majrity of the candidates did. For example, in this june session, A was at 85% for Mathematics.

It is probably like that for certain subjects, but not others.
Not quite, according to the CIE, this is how they grade all subjects :

What are the percentages for each grade at Cambridge O Level?

The process of grading in Cambridge O Level involves deciding the minimum mark necessary for each grade. We do not have predetermined thresholds (or quotas of candidates). After each examination series we decide the minimum marks for each threshold (grade boundaries) for each individual component. We carry out this process in order to ensure that the demands on the candidates are the same for every subject and every examination series. We are therefore unable to provide a general list of percentages required for each grade.

I heard they hold the threshold a bit higher for Additional Maths, which is why less students score an A* in this subject. CIE will, of course, not unravel every single detail of their marking process.

I heard this, and am not sure about it.

i wrote that , since the Ruler are Identical ...we will use ...First ruler to find the DEAD SPACE ..( the length of ruler before 0 ) of Second ruler ..
we will insert the second ruler verticaly in the tank , and note water level , avoiding parallex error and then we will add the reading of dead Space to the reading of water level
to know exact depth of water
