Physics Paper 5! Help, pleassseeee??

Really need help on this question, O/N/06 question number 2.

Sooo, on this questions, according to MS, we are supposed to use Newtonmeter to measure the force.. but i dont understand how that is possible since we're dealing with a capacitor?

Also, M/J/08 Number 1--- how is the glass supposed to be connected to the circuit? MS says place glass between electrodes but how is that possible?

(e) how the force of attraction between the plates would be measured
for force u always use Newtonmeter

according to me , the glass should b placed in b/w bcz electrons cnnt flow in solutions , since e- flow is only through solid conductors !!
