errmm.. yet cant find any place where my marks would have been deducted(Mashaa Allah), till now except for one mcq which i m a little confused at, my paper went awesome Alhamdulillah. well, i really found it quite easy and Inshaa Allah hoping for an A*. obviously, it cant be an 100% paper coz maximum got in physics mock was 97%. although i found this paper quite easy than the previous years, May Allah just bless us all with all A*s and yes, luck matters (We'll have to accept watever the grade, we dnt know Allah nay hamaray liye kia soocha howa hay). Sometimes the students who do 100% paper dnt even score A* and sometimes even those who say there paper was nt good score one.Let's just pray to Allah, miracles do happen.
don't know whether i made any mistakes in p4........ so I'll give 28/30
Confused about a couple of M.C.Qs, so i'll be optimistic and say 37/40
And p2 went good. Around 72-73/75
Hoping for an A*. Inshallah all of us will get A*
If its easier then shouldn't the thresholds be higher?
87 will do.
Not question 1. 1 question! The conducting wires one. And I didn't find it difficult. It was just me, being naive. I knew the things inside out. Just my immaturity to read and understand the questions properly lead to the mistakes. Oh, why am I so gullible.
An A* thershold rarely drop to 87%..the max it can drop to is 88%
They're not from 160. They're from 200. Plz read the full page (This makes it around 75%)IGCSE is easier and havent u seen its theresholds are higher........for example look at Biology Nov 2012 IGCSE the thereshold for 12,32,62 stands at 93% which is pretty high.....overall if you compare Olevel and IGCSE the olevels are much harder...Olevel Questions are much more analytical
was being very very wise. PAn A* thershold rarely drop to 87%..the max it can drop to is 88%

I read this topic in IGCSE section and they said every paper has some weightage and in the end they calculate it out of 200
Idk...I'll create a thread in Help,Ideas..section some time and ask IGCSE and O-Levels students collectively
Still don't know how u're sure about about ur thresholds being right...do u ask British Council?
So how do u know it is high upto 92% in sciences in O-Levels? Do u have any source? Bcoz its NEVER been published. I checked and Maths was only subject that i give to have such a high thresholdOf course I dont...I first ask students about their opinion about the paper..I calculate the average opinions...which ever is dominant.......then I compare with other examinations in previous sessions.....I use the method my teacher taught me..and then calculate the approximate thereshold.
from what i have heard, CIE does not raise the normal thresholds. Though they decrease it if the highest ones are low....... My source is my friend, who was told this by his chem teacher (the teacher is extremely experienced by the way)From what I've asked and found out and from the calculations:
The threshold for A* are going to be 89-91%.
The thresholds for A are going to be 80-82%.
The thresholds for B are going to be 71-73%.
How can they be so high? I'm gonna die let me and thementor decide firstFrom what I've asked and found out and from the calculations:
The threshold for A* are going to be 89-91%.
The thresholds for A are going to be 80-82%.
The thresholds for B are going to be 71-73%.
