Here r some important formulas for physics paper :

  1. Density = mass/volume
  2. Speed = distance/time
  3. Acceleration = Change in velocity (v-u)/time
  4. Force = mass x acceleration
  5. Weight = mass x g (10 m/s2) OR (10 N/kg)
  6. Moment of force = force x perpendicular distance from a point
  7. Load = spring constant x extension
  8. Pressure = force/area
  9. Pressure in liquid = density x g x height
  10. Compressing gases ( Pressure 1 x Volume 1 = Pressure 2 x Volume 2 )
  11. Work Done = Force x Distance moved
  12. Gravitational Potential Energy = mass x g x height
  13. Kinetic energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity2
  14. Energy transferred 1 = mass x specific heat capacity x temperature change
  15. Energy transferred 2 = mass x specific latent heat
  16. Power = work done/time = energy transferred/time
  17. Efficiency = useful work done/total energy input
  18. Waves = frequency x wavelength
  19. Frequency = 1/period (time)
  20. Refractive index = sin of incidence angle/ sine of refracted angle
  21. Total Internal reflection (sin of critical angle) = 1/reflective index
  22. Charge = current x time
  23. Resistance = Voltage / current
  24. Voltage = Current x Resistance
  25. Resistors in series = Resistor 1 + Resistor 2
  26. Resistors in parallel = 1/Resistor 1 + 1/Resistor 2
  27. Electrical Power = Voltage x current
  28. Electrical energy = Power x time OR Voltage x current x time
  29. Transformers = Output Voltage 2/Input Voltage 1 = Output turns 2/Input turns 1
  30. Current of Transformers = Current 1 x Voltage 1 = Current 2 x Voltage 2
Notes :
  1. This r not all the formulas in physics
  2. This formulas mentioned above r frequently asked in exams papers
  3. " x " means multiply by
Good Luck....:)
