Can someody help me with the definitions of interference and coherence

Interference is the meeting(interfering) of 2 waves. there are 2 types of interference.
1)constructive interference:- here the crests coincide with crests and trughs coincide with troughs. the phase difference in constuctive interference is multiples of wavelenth (lambda)
2)destructive interferene:- here the crests doesnt coincide crests or troughs doesnt coincide troughs
the phase difference is multiples of 1/2 wavelength

coherence is having constant phase difference. whether the crest is coinciding cests or nott...bt having the same constant phase difference throughput the period is known as coherence, the wave is known as coherent.
