dis question is about Topic 13 : Transverse Waves
da distance b/w any 2 successive points (that r in the same phase) on a wave represents the wavelength of the wave. 4 convenience, we take the edges or the peaks as reference points 2 determine the wavelength. in the question it's given dat the distance b/w 2 face-2-face or successive peaks is 0.60m. these peaks represent 2 successive crests/troughs on the given transverse wave.
now,
speed of wave (v) = frequency of wave times (f) wavelength of the wave (/.)
using this relationship we'll find the speed of the given wave
v = 2.5Hz (multiplied by) 0.60m
v = 1.5m/s (the speed is in metres per second b/c the wavelength is given in metres)
Furthermore,
speed (v) = distance (d) / time (t)
t = d/v
t = 3.0m / (1.5m/s)
t = 2.0s So the right answer is (C)

2.5 X 0.6 = 1.5 m/s

The wave is travelling at 1.5 meters per second. So, it will take 2 seconds to travel 3 meters.

the answer iz C
this is cos you can see that the xtension is following a pattern by increasing 3 cm by every 2 newtons added but at 10 newtons it strectches way beyond its limit upto 5cm although again the load is increased by 2N and now there is no pattern in its extension as it has gone beyond its proportionality limit
