I am told that if we do 1 question from each of the three sections in history rather than 2 from similar section the examiners count this and give better credit ......do anybody else's teacher said the same after meeting with CIE officials as they repeatedly ask"a good candidate has the ability to answer q from whole the syllabus".HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!

It's not like that
CIE mark the candidates on the points they produce in the questions chosen by them...
In the history paper...the requirement is "any 3 questions"
It doesn't matter if u choose only 2 sections...the examiner searches for only how u answered the chosen questions...not that did u know the whole syllabus.....
If ur answers of any 3 questions r perfect....u achieve a high percentage ...it doesn't matter if u choose only 2 sections...relax

Um, hello.
My sir hasn't, so far, given me any such instruction. But common sense says that if they have given us the freedom to choose any 3 questions, they shall mark the content of the answer to the question that's been chosen by the candidate and not the section it was picked from. But just to be on the safe side, do clear your doubts with someone who knows better. :)
