PLease explain me abt 3 types of glycoprotein!!

I read there are 3 types of glycoproteins
*Extrinsic
*Intrinsic
*Transmembrane
Can someone tell me what are these?

about the 'fluid mosaic' model :-
fluid mosaic model is how a plasma(cell) membrane is structured
the term 'fluid' refer to the movement (fluidity) of the protein molecules and phospholipid bilayer.
the term 'mosaic' refer to the ararngement of the protein molecules(which are scattered) when membrane is veiwed from above.

FEATURES OF A 'FLUID MOSAIC' MODEL
1) the plasma membrane is bilayer of phospholipids
2) the phospholipid tails(hydrophobic-non polar) point inwards while the phospholipid head(hydrophilic-polar)points outwards
3) the protein molecules float on the phospholopid bilayers like iceburgs. although some are fixed like islands.
4) the total thickness of the membrane is 7nm on average.
5) to the membrane; carbohydrate chains are attached to the proteins or lipids called glycoproteins and glycplipids respectively.
6) cholestrol molecules are also attached to the phospholipid bilayers.

sorry i dont know about the 3 types of glycoproteins.

JazakAllah Khaien and no problem ,I have understood it now Extrinsic is just on the upper surface of the membrane ,Intrinsic is halfway...i.e. between the membrane and transmembrane goes through the upper as well as the lower surface of the membrane
