Do you guys have some descriptive writing examples? Because I'm going to pick the descriptive essay choice in Paper 2 and I need to read some descriptive essays to boost my writing skills. The candidate responses only have descriptive writings for "E" grades T_T

Yeah that's what I usually do. But you know, it's kind of hard to make up your own creative metaphors and similes which is why I need some inspiration for descriptive texts to extract some of those imageries and use them in my texts.

Guys, I have another paper on the 14th of May. Paper 2 Writing for English AS. If anyone has any resources or help with this paper, please help me ;_;

Also, does anyone know how to calculate CIE grades? Because it's kind of confusing. Okay so both papers are 50% of the total grade. Let's say for example, I got a U on paper 1 and I got an A for paper 2, what would be my overall grade?

Hey megan. It happened with me too. I aced an A in English P2 but got U in Paper1. They overall gave me a U. Its their rule that if you get U in one paper. You’re fail overall nomatter you get A in other components.

No i specifically meant for "A level" Paper 2...as the essays in book focus on narrative, descriptive, as well as comparative writing examples...plus you get loads of ideas which can be tweaked and implemented in A levels writing exam!!!

Well the grade depends upon your results in both papers and in A Levels so its like this .If you get A/A* of a very good mark and U of the highest e.g U is below 50/100 so you got 49/100, you will have a slight chance of scoring a C/B.I think that that it depends on all components

You have absolutely no idea about how papers are graded.U isin't 49/100 or below.It means scoring less then 15 marks as far as I know
