8 cm : 4cm
172 cm3 : x cm3

x= ?

(For finding volumes, you cube the lengths. For finding areas, you square the lengths)
Take two corresponding lengths:

(8^3)/(4^3) = (172)/(x)
x= 21.5 cm3
