please help with uni qs!

Hi!
I'm a year 11 (grade 10) student and am sitting my GCSEs this year. I want to get into university as quick as I can and was wondering if it was absolutely necessary to finish year 13 to get into uni, or would I be able to get in after sitting AS levels? I'm mostly interested in universities in Europe and want to study either biotechnology or medicine.
