Hi,

I'm in GCE 'O' level and I want to be a doctor. I want to work abroad, but I want to complete medical college in Pakistan, then specialize in another country. Given all the mentioned stuff, I have 2 options:

1) Do FSc after 'O' level
2) Do 'A' level after 'O' level

What should I do? Please help.

Its rather a frequently asked question. Its a pure personnel interest thing. What do you think can do good? Would you be able to merge with people who are born to cram? Can you be that person who is good at memorising a lot of stuff? Its its a check then yes, fsc is the call..
If you know you can afford a private medical college and want to do none of the above, go for A'levels. Afterall, even if yoy do fsc and cant be on merit, u'll have to go private.
But just so that you know ; its fsc which rules Pakistan.

i ve exactly the same ambition other then that i dont wanna go for medical......wat i think is that u shld go for FSc after o levels...cuz if u do A levels....the Pakistani Medical College will deduct a lot of marks....its like if u get e.g 90% according to them...they will deductd around 10% marks leavin u with just 80%....on other hand if u go for FSc..which will be easier after o levels n scoring 90% wil be no big deal....u can enter college wil ease......

Well not exactly, doing Alevel isnt that scary. You get a good equivalance if you had good O'level and average A'level grades. It can get u to private universities.
But anyhow, you decide what to do, dont get confused by what people say, respond to your abilities call. Best of luck!

And trust me A level sciences wont help u a lot in preparing the entry tests.

Plus A level sciences are too hard. But if aim at C's or B's yea then they aren't scary.
