Hey, everyone. Okay, now I am seriously considering taking A Level Business Studies OR Economics as my fifth subject, the first 4 being Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, and it should be considered that I haven't studied both of these subjects at O' Level. I am a little familiar with the business terminology as I gave Commerce in October 2009. So, I need a serious advice from you guys -_-. Should I opt for Business OR Economics Or just forget about both of them because 4 A Level subjects won't be easy to cope with. By the way, do they teach both of these subjects from the scratch in A Level? Help, please!

Secondly, I intend to shoot for medical after my A Level. I have a couple of questions regarding this post A-Level phase:
Firstly, would it be necessary for me to appear for my SAT. Let's say I intend go abroad, if I get a scholarship, is SAT a must then? Secondly, I wanted feedback from people who actually appeared for the 2010 NON Fsc Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). Were the questions from Fsc? Was the paper unduly difficult and of pattern with A Level? What are your reviews?

Your help'll be appreciated on both of these separate issues. Administrator, Zohaib, I implore you to give a quick reply to my questions, especially the first one and every other contributor's advice will be appreciated, especially those who gave the MCAT this year (or the year before). Thank you! :)

A-levels Economics can be easily dealt from scratch.
But what for?
If you are damn sure about Medical, then stick to the four subjects.
Otherwise, Economics is a great contender.
Business studies is weaker, less-credited subject so Its not recommended at all.

SATs are mostly required for admission in USA.
Apart from that, they are just optional extras.

Another advice is to just take advice!!
Don't fix it if an Admin or a Moderator recommends something!
Its your career; don't let others play with it!

If you have made up your mind to go in medical then choose following
Biology
Physics
Chemistry
Three subject are enough for your upcoming degree.
if you are not sure about your future planning then adding extra subject
like maths will have more burden. However it will open diverse fields for you
For getting an admission in UK medical universities you have to get Straight A's for better competition
however there are other universities in UK which requires less grades but do stick for As.
Choosing Business or economics is just as you stand on a road from which
two roads protrudes that runs at maximum angles(i mean totally opposite)
You have to choose only one road at time.
One more thing is that don't choose more subject it will divide your mind and
huge preparation is required.
