QUERY REGARDING A-LEVEL SUBJECT

Urdu in A-Levels is a full-credit subject or half-credit subject? I have given "9686 - Urdu (Pakistan Only)" and wanted to know whether it is a full-credit subject? Please help me on this matter. I will be very very thankful to you. Eagerly waiting for your reply.

Half credited subjects means you only completed AS part (for eg, 1 of 2 papers) of the subject.
Full credited means you complete AS + A2 part (both the papers) of the subject.

I have given all the components of 9686 - Urdu (Pakistan Only) so that means it is a full-credit subject now? Why universities in Pakistan don't consider the grade in GP?

Why is it so that universities in Pakistan don't accept a grade in General Paper even after giving all the components of it?

Why would they? i mean when you are going to do engineering, or medical or commerce you don't need GP for it.

CBM IBA LUMS don't include G.P. in their minimum requirement for admission because they consider it as a half-credit subject. Students take G.P. or Urdu just to make their paths easy to get into various universities of Pakistan as these subjects are relatively easy to score.

This is how it goes. If you are applying for engineering, you need math, phy and chem ONLY. It you are applying for medicine you need math, chem and bio ONLY. If you are applying for commerce, you need math, eco, accounts ONLY (and maybe BS). Even if you give full credit GP, they wont consider it because its the core subjects that they want.
Besides, most of the school offer AS level GP only.

THANKS! One and the last thing. Are G.P. and Urdu principle subjects? What Do we mean when we say principle subjects?

principle or core subjects are the subjects that define what you want to pursue. For eg, in order to take chemical engineering, you must have chemistry. So chemistry is the principle subject of that department, for medicine you must have biology, so biology is the principle of medicine, etc.
