Question Regarding Re-sits

Hi! So, I decided to re-sit my CIE AS-Level Chemistry papers this November as I'd gotten a C in M/J and wanted to improve. I'm sure I did much better but I was just wondering, paranoia and all, if let's say I get a grade lower than last time. So, I did worse instead of better. What grade would they take, the latest one or the better grade out of the two?

Thanks. =)

Hmm. I know that in Edexcel, they take the better grade but I'm not so sure if it's the same in CIE. How can they delete my grade? I've already received an official certificate for the C I got in M/J.

The most recent exam that you've taken is the one that will count. It'd be best if you just studied your hardest and got a better grade though, it's not very difficult if you're willing to put the work in.

I checked in with the examination officer at my school. He said that when I fill in my form to register for the CIE A2 Chemistry papers, I enter a carry forward mark. And so I can choose which mark I carry forward, which will obviously be the better grade. The carry forward mark is then used in my final A-Level grade, as I'm doing the course in two years.

Thanks for all your help. :)
