I am a retiring wallflower
no wonder why I see people andI cower
for I like not chitter-chatter but I like the trees
the twining plants, the flowers around which encircle bees.

I look around,
see the world and I'm dumbfound
there is lack of peace,
we need to from this war release.

I don't like the hustle bustle
I like not the daily off-mood rumble.
I want this world to ally and live
or else to the wallflower-person myself I give

I shall rise and I shall shine!

The caged bird sings.
Each of us is caught up in a mesh of affairs-
social, radical, and forceful.
Each of us deals with a problem alone-
each unique and worthy of RISKS and dares.

A mother carrying an invisible placard of divorce,
an orphan pained by the death of his parent,
See we issues, different, side by side,
With composure we need to all matters pose.

I know you're hurt,
i understand you're broken.
I feel the scars,
i see the blood on your shirt.

But don't you see- all of us are subdue,
all of us are hiding.
All of us are pained,
All of us are beaten black and blue.

The monster will prowl and attack,
he will cage and assault.
He is life,
He is the all-time Barrack.

So comes a question-
Will the whole world be chained by this life?
All the Newtons and Einsteins?
Why, this is the pinnacle of interrogation.

And as i swooned over this query,
whispered to me the tree-
If not a fruit had been plucked and cut,
I would never bloom that red, juicy cherry.

Thus i realized,
and wished to share with you,
that if the soldier allowed himself to be shot in the battlefield,
His outcome would be unrecognized.

Rise up.
Stand tall.
The caged bird sings.
