S1 probability confusions

mutually exclusive is the case where two events cannot occur at the same time. for example while throwing a die you cannot score three or a five at the same time..hence scoring three and five are exclusive events.
conditions= P(A)intersection P(B)=0
exhaustive is the case where two events A and B make the whole of the probability space,
P(A union B)=1
if either of the events a and b can occur without being affected by the other then the events are independent.
P(A) intersection P(B)=P(A)*P(B)
for example: a fair die is thrown twice. find the probability of 2 fives.
P(5)=(1/6)
on two throws P(5,5)=P(5)*P(5)
=1/6*1/6
=1/36
