people how and when should we apply for SAT? Any links posted will be appreciated

That's the website. Registrations for November and October are up so you better hurry up if you want to take the SAT in those 2 sessions (otherwise there won't be any seats left or you'll have to fly to some other cities to take the SAT). You just need to sign up and fill in that SAT registration form online. If you intend to take the SAT some other time then you don't need to worry about the registration now.
There are a few good SAT books which you probably want to buy (I don't know any specifics however). Subscribe to the official SAT question of the day since it's pretty helpful. You need to practice a lot until you get a hang of the type of questions they ask.
