Self prepration of English - Language AS Level (until 2013) (8693)

I am going to take admission in English - Language AS Level (until 2013) (8693) in Oct/Nov session 2013 .I don't want to go to any tutor or take classes because i work 8 - 10 hours .i don't ve' time .SO please tell me how i can prepare for English - Language AS Level (until 2013) (8693) at home .Which book should i buy.

Read as much as u cn................try 2 solve pastpapers,so u cn get idea n some AS englsh books vll assist u!!!

Read from the Cambridge endorsed book for English language written by Helen Toner and Elizabeth Whittome.
P.S practice past papers and refer some web links too.

I would recommend reading generally. Reading really helps when it comes to English. Cultivate in yourself the habit of reading novels, books of your interest.
And of course, past papers are very significant. Keep practicing.
