A* is only obtained from full completion. I am doing c1, c2 and s1 this year myself. So the max you can get is an A I believe. I think an A* is from averaging over 80 on each paper, by getting a cumulative sum at the end of the course, and also from getting 90 or high on c3 and c4. Atleast, thats what my teacher told me
