Let me tell you one thing that geography is more sort of a general paper, unlike previous years, I mean before 2009/10. So better not to rely more on notes.

Yeah of course they do.
Try going according to syllabus, cuz there are many things which are there in syllabus but not in book, and may be notes.
Devise a revision plan for yourselves too. Do not memorise the notes only. Understand whatever content is in the syllabus.
