I have Sociology paper 1 on Monday. And i haven't studied.
Got a U in mocks, because i didn't give one of the papers, i skipped it because i hadn't studied.

Can anyone tell me how to prepare Sociology in one day?
Everyone is going to think it's impossible, but just me a short cut or something.
Which chapters should i skip?

And, I have that Ken Browne book. It doesn't cover all the definitions, and stuff.. in the syllabus.
Which book should i use? :/

And how to get 8/8 in those lengthy questions?

Mera bhi yehi haal hai :| And I didn't have Sociology in school either. But the fact that u left it all for the last day makes me feel better about myself xD
Do u have Physics too?
Just do three chapters;

1.Research Methods
2.Social Stratification OR Power and Authority
3.Culture and Socialisation.

(I'd say u skip Power and Authority)

The only theories officially in our syllabus are Feminist, Marxist and Functionalist.

And trust me, you're not getting anywhere near an A until you do at least 5 past papers (Just write your answers in bullet points, no one's got 2.5 hours for each paper : / )

Somebody call Ex-Sociology Students here!! :''|

Social stratification n power and authority are 2 diff chapters u cant skip u do get options out of two ques but u need to attempt its not that tough just go through the chapters finish once then do once at night keep cramping give everyday examples i started 2 days before aswell i took it lightly as iv given my alevel but dont worry just focus on these right now have a look at the syllabus

Yes, Physics too.

I've never read Social stratification, it's too long. But i read Power once, before.. ages ago. .-. It's a shorter chapter, comparatively. So i'll go with that. :/
I'm done reading Research methods.
Now reading Culture and Socialization.

Which book you using?

I'm using Ken Browne Fourth edition, i don't think it covers everything. .-.

I'm using your wali book, one other book for OLevels (Sociology for AQA or somethin) and one other book for AS (It's a short book)

That makes it sound like I've studied so much :"D

Just make sure you go through the syllabus amd memorise the glossary I guess. And Past Papers.

You got some tips from me? You probably had a proper teacher?
Also, Stratification is easier. For me atleast. And it helps in other chapters. But dont go for something new now.

I didn't take it in school, so no teacher. I barely studied it myself so a teacher is a whole other thing. :p

Well, yeah.. Stratification is new, so i don't think i should start it now, on the last day before exam. .-.

Done with Research methods, and culture and socialization.
Going to start Power, in a while.

Well, tips. Idk, try to get full marks in those 8 mark questions. :p
We have to quote theories right? Are they necessary? And do the questions repeat?
I don't have much time to write the answers down. :/ Can i just read through the marking schemes or something?

Questions repeat? HELL YEAH! Esp the 8 mark ones. But they've become more innovative in their questions lately : /.
Examiner reports are more useful than MS, IMO.
You have to quote theories in the 8 mark Q's only (not in research methods tho, offc)
Theories are for full marks. You can still gain six without quoting them. AND I REPEAT THIS, YOUVE GOTTA DO PAST PAPERS TO GRASP HOW U HAVE TO ANSWER. And dont be so complacent, Its not as easy as it seems : P but its pretty easy
