Some questions about bio unit 3B?

So I'm asking about the paper that was on tuesday.

1) In the question that asked you to extend the line of best fit, how come everyone I asked got a value around or bigger than 10? I got like 1.2?

2) When counting cells for mitosis I got a higher number than everyone else because I counted cells with small, condensed nuclei and no nucleoli (these cells are in prophase). I got like 9 or 10 cells. How many marks will I lose?

i didnot come across any question asking us to extend the line of best fit...which question was that..
and i got 8 cells,,my answer was 8.3%.
u wont lose more than 5 marks for these two mistakes...

the question was, you need to find the distance from the root tip at which there is no mitosis. use your line of best fit. it was right after the graph.
well i did do more stupid mistakes like drawing a bar chart instead of a line one thanks for replying

ya i remember now...thank god,i did it,,i got 13 as the answer,,depends on the scale u choose..but u didnt have to draw a bar graph..still u wont lose more than 8 marks according to my CLEVER calculations..,,that will give u a good B,,according to the jan 2013 grade boundaries...so dnt wry..try harder for other papers nw.

How could you get 13? Did you extend the line to the x-axis or y-axis? Since mitosis needs to be at 0% you need to extend the line to the x-axis right? There the values were all 0.1 0.2 etc how come everyone got those values D:

i did extend towards the x axis....,may be i chose the wrong scale then,,,i may lose 1 mark,,cuz u lose 1 mqrk for the wrong scale..nd yes,,if u have plotted the values correctly,nd made the graphs accurately,,then u lose only 1 mark,,or may be no mark at all...cuz the marking schemes usually gives range of options for plotting data,,so u may get full 3, or or 2 over 3,,,thats good!!

so,,after all this,,i reach a conclusion..i put the variables on the wrong axis..yup...i was daydreaming during the exam,,MAYBE..So, both of us end up with a B,,.well not BAD..

oh is that how everyone i asked ended up with large values? i dont think so its weird that so many people would plot the variables on the wrong axes. but even if don't worry there's only a mark or 2 out of 5 that goes for the variables on the correct axes

haha well i'm still worried, i screwed up in other stupid stuff here and there. i just hope paper 1 and 2 will be better insha'Allah. thank you for all your replies, really appreciate it ^^
