i am very struggling wid "continuity correction" in s1
lyk... sometime u add 0.5 but sometimes u subtract 0.5 from the value...
it drives me carzy!!!! i dunno when to add and subtract valuess in different situation..
most mark scheme gives u both values, so i get one mark for it
but they carry out solution wid only one value!!!
so do i lose mark or it doesn't matter
(sry i am not an english, u might not undersatnd what i am trying to say hahahahah)
but if u understood me, plzz help me
S1 paper is NEXT WEEK !!!!!!!!

therz a very simple logic to continuity correction. if:
P(X=n) =>P(n-0.5<X<n+0.5)
P(X>n)=>P(X>n+0.5)
P(X<N)=>P(X<n-0.5)
P(X<=n)=>P(X<n+0.5)
P(X>=n)=>P(X>n-0.5)

jus memorize nd apply!! thts wot i do!

If you have the book "A Concise Course in A-Level Statistics" there is a page explaining the concept behind this. Read that and you'll understand what to do. If you don't, then memorize what hina said.
