the guard cells to bow outward when turgid (Figure 36.17a). This bowing outward increases the size of the pore between the guard cells. When the cells lose water and become flaccid, They become less bowed, and the pore closes"
HOW I CAN VISUALISE THIS ...I DINT UNDERSTAND ANY SINGLE WORD OF IT..........

In simple English, it just means that the space between the guard cells increases during turgidity, to allow gaseous exchange.
During flaccidity, the space closes down to prevent any loss of water.
They said 'bowed' because when you look at the shape of the guard cell, when the pore increases in size, it becomes more bowed & vice versa. Get it?
