Thoughts on 9709/42 M1 2017

Do the grades on the component level even matter? I mean grades are given not for components but for the complete A or AS level. If you get a B on M1 and have full marks on all other exams, I guess you could still get an A or A* ?!

The A range is mostly around 35-45 so I suppose you may still get an A and apparently the gt is going to be low so you may be lucky!

I really hope so.

The thing is , since the M1 messed up everything , it will be affecting the whole A or AS complete level , hence I am hoping the gt for the whole component level needs to be low for a just grading this time? Meaning even if u get a C/B on P1 and a B on M1 on a usual gt scale like past years, this time it might add up to a minimum A since the pattern was changed and the questions were tougher to deal with.
