can sumbody explain me diffraction grating, double slit, stationary wave and all that...m confused how to answer questions relating these!!

i like the whole AS physics except this waves..and phases of matter....matter one is just bcoz i dont ha ve proper notes for that.....wud appreciate if any one can help....it's urgent cuz i have an exam after 2 days :!:
