Is reacting hydrogen and oxygen an exothermic reaction or endothermic reaction? Please explain.

Also, formation of water vapour from water. Exothermic or endothermic?

THANKS! :)

reaction of hydrogen with oxygen is exothermic
while formation of vapours is endothermic as heat is taken in. :)

Dude both are exotic the water vapour one is exotic as although heat is taken in to break the bonds the Amy of heat given out after the conversion to vapour is more as less energy is required to hold the bonds. Also ill confirm this soon.

no i think second one is endothermic because heat is taken in to break the bonds

yup after some research i think the water one is indeed endo and not exothermic
i found this after a lot of research on the internet

Liquid water had to have energy put into it to become steam, and that energy is not lost. Instead, it is retained by the gaseous water molecules.

so we have it it is endothermic and not exo
