In the above paper, How is the answer to Q.26 obtained? I cant get the answer that is in the marking scheme.

1/Effective Resistance = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 ...
= 1/4 + 1/2 + 1/1

Effective R = 0.57

THis doesnot equal to 0.57. It equals to 1.75

Reciprocal of effective resistance = 1.75

Effective resistance = 1/1.75 = 0.57
