Okay, in our school, our teachers give predicted grades for A levels based on the "percentage uniform marks" achieved at AS level. They give A* predicted grade only if a student has got at least 90% at AS level. Since I want to apply to some top universities after AS, I want my A level predicted grades to be A stars! But the problem is, I don't know how much marks I need to be able to get a percentage uniform marks of 90%. I know the gt for an A grade stays somewhere between 87 to 95 but how much do I need at AS to get 90%? And I am expecting 49/60 in p2 and 30/40 in p3, so how much marks do I need in p1 to get a percentage uniform marks of 90% in AS Chem! Someone please help me! Thanks in advance :)

Could you elaborate what you mean by that? like, your teachers compare you to the international GT for that year or something? Anyway, I think the total number of marks for an A* in chemistry is supposed to be about 190-200/270, so your aim should be that much overall, HOWEVER, you will have to calculate the marks according to the weightage assigned to the paper at hand, so it is a bit more complex then seen above.

In Bangladesh we get the percentage uniform marks at AS level together with the grade. So, like for example, you might have a percentage uniform mark of 94% at AS but your grade will be shown as an A.
