I heard that in Math Al "cambridge", the duration between the AS and A2 should not be more than one year. Is that the same in Edexcel math alevel?

I have sat Math EDEXCEL AS level back in January 2013.

Hopefully I am willing to sit and apply to the Math EDEXCEL A2 level in the coming June 2014.
(GCE level)

Can I sit for the A2 level in June 2014 ? Does my math AS get expired and i have to resit even the AS in june 2014 ?
