To prepare for theory will not take you much time I may think a month and a half I think but the main thing is how gud u are at practicals because to me the practicals were very tricky
Many ppl give As because it reduces the load as giving both As and A2 is very stressful
I would really recommend that u do it separately bcz ppl just mess it up when they do it together

But isn't the syllabus the same for AS and A2? Doing them separately. Won't that mean studying twice? o_O

I am doing As at the moment but what I know is that everything is not included in the A2 paper from As syllabus
Firstly u should know in complete a levels for eg the subject is chemistry u have to give 5 papers in a levels either u do As and then A2 or complete a levels in a single go
So won't it be better to give the three papers of chem in As and u are just left with two papers in A2 hence reducing your load than if you are giving together

Yes, but even for those 2 papers the entire course will need to be studied again. That would be tough. Doing it twice.

How different are the AICT practicals from the ICT ones?

Still doing As so don't know much abt A2 yet
And abt the practicals Aict practicals just has access and excel that's the main part PowerPoint May come very very less often and everything in it is mostly related to ict ones
The worst thing which I hate is there there comes topics on which u have to write essays which are abt 20 marks mostly u can search abt the topic on google but u can't copy paste bcz that will give u zero marks u have to frame all the sentences in your own words u have to take the content from google
The excel part is what I felt really many new formulas and functions really complicated really needs a lot of practice
Whereas access has relational databases and new stuff is there but I don't think u will find it so difficult

This time I gave my As didnot practice much due to other subjects got to know the ppr before the exam as my exam was very late otherwise I would have been screwed
So if u are studying aict so focus on the practicals very much

I just finished my O-level/IGCSE exams, gave ICT, which went really good. I'm really good at ict practicals.. almost had perfect practicals this time, but lost marks in Theory, cause i hadn't studied for it.
So how long will it take to prepare the practicals of AICT from scratch? Are 3-4 months enough?

I'm in AS but I think in A2 there are just some things which do require knowledge from AS just as in AS you require some knowledge of O-Level but not revise everything. And it's especially the questions which are tough so it'll not take much time to revise the concepts.

Ya if u are gud at practicals then I think 4 months will be enough but u will have to work hard
I would recommend that u don't hurry up take enough time better than regretting afterwards
Like are u planning to give aict this oct nov
